Quick Ketchup
There has been a good deal going on in since the last post. My work is well under way and after some encouraging words from the head of the Uganda Cancer Institute I am attacking the project. There is still much to do but I look forward to it.
I have to leave the country soon and have been exploring options. It looks like Rwanda this time out, next trip will be the Serengeti in Tanzania I think. That’ll be a big expense so I need to save up for that but am excited at the prospect. Rwanda, I hear, is very beautiful and I will be checking out the war memorial, which I understand is quite moving.
It’s the rainy season and I’ve never seen anything like it before. It comes down heavy and sounds like a herd of animals on the roof. The thunder and lightning are also impressive. Recently pigeons have discovered the awning to the balcony outside of my bedroom and stage fights or just flop around like fish up there, it’s funny but if it keeps up it’ll be annoying.
I eat fruit like nobody’s business. Everyday is mango, pineapple, watermelon and passion fruit, I can’t quit! And I think I’m finally starting to get a little color, huzzah!! Walking into and from the office really helps out with that bit.
I should be getting out to check out more of the city soon so expect more in that regard and I’m also going to check out the Entebee Zoo.
That’s the news fit to print…
